About the role:
We have an exciting new opportunity for a dedicated and detail orientated Assistant Accountant to join our Finance Team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will provide financial and administrative support to ensure effective, efficient and accurate financial and administrative operations. This is an excellent opportunity for an early career professional looking to develop their skills in a supportive and tight knit finance team.
Duties include; but are not limited to:
Maintenance of general ledger and the Fixed Asset Register
Reconcile daily sales and process in general ledger
Investigate non-reconciling items and investigate variances
Provide assistance to the Accountants, Accounts Payable Officer and wider Finance team with ad hoc tasks
Assist with regular audits and ensure all non-compliance is reported to the Accountant
Consistently acts in accordance with the requirements of relevant legislation, standards, guidelines and policies and procedures
About you:
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a shared services accounting function
Relevant tertiary qualifications, or studying towards CPA or CA
Strong technical knowledge in the use of accounting, accounts payable software and Microsoft Office
High level of attention to detail and strong organisational skills
Analytical style approach and strong problem-solving skills
Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate with a range of stakeholders at every level of the business
