Are you ready to take the next step in your retail career? Passionate about products, strategy, and making a real impact? We are on the lookout for a driven and enthusiastic Assistant Category Manager to join our Showroom team at our Albany-based Support Centre.
What You’ll Be Doing
As an Assistant Category Manager, you’ll be right at the heart of our product strategy, supporting our Category Managers to bring their plans to life while sharpening your own skills to become a future Category Manager. You’ll play a key role in:
Enhancing our product ranges and promotional offers
Building and nurturing supplier relationships
Taking ownership of select products and driving their success
Collaborating across teams to solve challenges and unlock growth
What We’re Looking For
We’re after someone who’s not just capable, but curious, collaborative, and commercially savvy. You’ll thrive here if you bring:
Strong relationship-building skills and confidence working with suppliers
Solid experience with MS Excel, data analysis, and understanding of financial drivers behind category management
A sharp eye for detail, problem-solving ability, and promotional flair to drive inspiration and solution selling
Passion for retail and product development, with adaptability and a team-first mindset
Clear, confident communication that builds trust and influence
High EQ, personal resilience, and a sense of humour to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment
