Transpower is the owner and operator of the National Grid. At the heart of the electricity sector, we transport electricity from where it is generated to large electricity users and the distribution businesses that deliver it to homes and businesses nationwide.
Our core purpose is to empower the energy future for New Zealand - a future that delivers a net-zero carbon economy and a reliable and secure electricity system. Our people, relationships, and behaviour are fundamental in achieving this.
To achieve New Zealand's net carbon zero target by 2050 while significantly reducing household energy bills. Transpower and our customers; Generators and Industrial users and Electricity Distributors will be central to delivering this more sustainable energy future.
About our business-to-business customer team
The Customer and Commercial team's role is to enable Transpower and our customers to achieve goals that support electrification of Aotearoa's economy by meeting our customers' expectations on how we engage and contract with them, understanding their business contexts, inspiring customer centric thinking and action across our organisation and securing effective commercial outcomes.
We do this by engaging with our customers, working with teams across Transpower, from initial enquiry through concept development to delivery of grid connection services that meet customers' and Transpower's needs, add value and achieve our respective business objectives.
