Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant General Accountant to join our team at EXL. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the general ledger activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and fixed asset accounting.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and be able to work effectively with the client team in a specific region. They will also be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and be flexible to work in any shift.

In this role, you will:
• Assist with the preparation and review of journal entries
• Support the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and intercompany transactions
• Contribute to fixed asset accounting for domestic businesses
• Develop and maintain advanced Excel skills, including formulas, vlookup, pivot tables, and charts
• Collaborate with the client team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
