Job Description:-
The Billing Manager oversees and manages the billing operations and processes of the company. The role is crucial in ensuring that all client invoices are issued accurately and on time, payments are received promptly, and any billing discrepancies are resolved. The Billing Manager plays a key role in improving the efficiency of billing procedures and maintaining strong financial controls.
Key Responsibilities:-
· Oversee the day-to-day operations of the billing department.
· Manage the end-to-end billing process for all transportation services.
· Implement and maintain billing systems and software to improve efficiency and accuracy.
· Ensure all invoices comply with company policies and government regulations.
· Monitor accounts receivable to ensure timely payments.
· Generate and send invoices to clients on schedule.
· Implement and refine billing procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
· Prepare and analyze billing and revenue reports.
· Provide financial data related to billing for internal audits and reporting.
· Collaborate with the finance team to forecast revenue and manage cash flow.
· Continuously review billing processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
· Ensure the billing department complies with financial best practices.
· Supervise and train billing staff to ensure accurate and efficient work.
· Conduct monthly team meetings to address any issues and review department performance.
Requirements:-
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Ability to build and maintain relationships
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
· 3+ years of billing experience, preferably in a transportation, logistics, or freight environment.
· Strong understanding of freight billing practices, transportation documentation, and industry regulations.
· Proficiency in billing and accounting software.
· Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks
