Job Purpose / Brief of Job Role:
This position performs reinsurance technical accounting administration and reporting activities in a timely and accurate manner. The position also participates in various projects involving automation, changes to current systems, implementation of new systems, and various process improvement initiatives.
Please note this is a contractual (third party) role.
Your job
Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensure that client accounts are processed timely and quality of processing reporting is ensured
2. Cash collection and clearing of open items
3. Promptly settle of reinsurance account payables and claims
4. Good working collaboration with internal and external clients (underwriters, claims managers, client managers, finance, external brokers, external cedants, etc)
5. Ensuring, keeping track of active portfolio management as per the QA guidelines
6. Point of contact for external clients (cedants, brokers, auditors, etc.)
7. Ensure Key Performance Indicator targets in client accounting are met; E.g. Timely and accurate processing of all client statements, receipts and maintaining healthy client receivables/payables position
8. Support Treaty Maintenance activities
Competencies:
Comfortable in MS Excel and good IT skills
Good numerical skills
Strong willingness to learn
Professional working proficiency in English;
Meticulous, self-disciplined, committed, responsible and able to work autonomously
Your profile
Education & Experience:
Graduate in finance, accounting, insurance, business, mathematics etc.
VBA and other programming skills (desirable)
Knowledge of insurance, reinsurance and accounting (not required but desirable)
Good communication skills (written and spoken)
Precision in dealing with figures
Conscientious, self-disciplined, independent and reliable work approach efficient mindset
Strong client-centricity and resulted oriented
Open-minded, receptive to innovation and highly committed, even for work outside the section
Experience - 0-2 years
