What You Will Be Doing
• Perform and assist with the monthly, quarterly and year-end process and daily operations of the sub-ledger accounting department.
• Prepare journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations including, but not limited to, prepaid, intangibles, goodwill, fixed assets, CIP and project accounting.
• Analyze financial data to ensure accuracy, completeness and US GAAP compliance.
• Maintain proper SOP, accounting methods, policies and procedures.
• Prepare and complete for both internal and external reporting schedules as well as work with external auditors to address issues as needed.
• Support SOX 404 compliance testing and ensure related documentation is updated timely.
• Involved in ad hoc projects which may arise, focusing on process improvement for the broader GL Accounting ensuring technical compliance.
• Other Accounting Operations duties as assigned.
What skills, experience and education you need as a team member to succeed:
• Bachelors in Accounting or Finance is required.
• 2+ (Staff) years of relevant experience in general ledger experience. Oracle Financials experience is a big plus with a solid understanding of sub-ledger module and related processes.
• Solid understanding of US GAAP, with emphasis in the areas of intangibles, goodwill, fixed assets, CIP, and project accounting.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication and analytical skills are required.
• Proficiency in Excel is required, data manipulation, pivot tables and V-look up functions.
• Experience with Oracle ERP and OBIEE is preferred.
• Excellent time management skills, able to meet daily and monthly deadlines.
• Ability to work in a matrix team environment.
• Attention to detail, organized and thorough with the desire for continuous improvement.
