Job Summary:

As an Associate Business Systems Analyst, you will support the design and delivery of business systems by assisting with process reviews, business analysis, functional solution design, documentation, and user support. Working closely with Product, development scrum teams, and business stakeholders, you will help facilitate the flow of information between business and technical functions and contribute to refining system requirements.

You will assist in documenting requirements, supporting solution presentations, and demonstrating functional software, while developing your capability in Agile delivery practices. The role offers exposure to emerging business analysis trends and innovative ways of working, including the use of AI to enhance processes and delivery, and provides an excellent foundation for growth within a collaborative, delivery‑focused environment.
Responsibilities:

Business Analysis

Assist in interpreting, gathering, and documenting business and technical requirements.
Support the development of clear, unambiguous acceptance criteria in line with regulatory, security, and company standards.
Use AI‑enabled tools to improve efficiency in requirements gathering and documentation.
Review requirements and acceptance criteria with stakeholders and support the sign‑off process.
Stakeholder Engagement, Teamwork & Collaboration

Build positive working relationships with business and technical stakeholders.
Assist stakeholders in designing effective processes and user‑friendly interfaces.
Identify and communicate system, time, or budget constraints to the wider team.
Help facilitate the flow of information between business and development teams to ensure shared understanding of objectives and deadlines.
Support clear communication of progress, risks, and changes to scope or priorities.
Business Processes & Development

Create and maintain process and knowledge documentation.
Build subject matter expertise to support business queries and issue resolution over time.
Participate in training and knowledge‑sharing sessions to develop capability and understanding of key systems and processes.
Requirements:

Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders and resolve issues effectively.
Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years’ experience in financial services or a related environment.
Foundational understanding of financial markets, platforms, superannuation, accounting, and tax concepts, with willingness to deepen knowledge.
Solid analytical, numeracy, and problem‑solving skills, with exposure to designing or supporting enterprise systems.
Experience or exposure to Agile ways of working.
Awareness of how AI‑supported tools can be applied to business analysis to drive efficiency and continuous improvement.
Well organised, detail‑oriented, innovative, and able to make sound decisions.
