Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chartered Accountant (CA) specialising in auditing & taxation to join our organisation.
Responsibilities:
1. Audit Planning and Execution:
Plan and organise audit engagements, including assessing risks, developing audit procedures, and establishing timelines.
Conduct comprehensive audits of financial statements, internal controls, and operational processes.
Evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of internal controls and make recommendations for improvements.
Perform substantive testing and verification of financial transactions and balances.
2. Taxation and Compliance:
Ensure compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations, including filing tax returns and handling tax-related matters.
Stay updated with changes in tax laws and regulations and provide guidance on tax planning strategies.
Conduct tax audits and assist in resolving tax-related issues.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with financial and regulatory requirements.
3. Financial Reporting and Analysis:
Review and analyse financial statements, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting principles.
Identify financial irregularities or discrepancies and investigate their root causes.
Perform financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
Prepare audit reports summarising findings, recommendations, and action plans.
4. Risk Assessment and Management:
Identify and assess financial and operational risks within the organisation.
Develop and implement risk-based audit plans to address identified risks.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of risk management processes.
Collaborate with management to develop strategies to mitigate risks and enhance internal controls.
5. Client Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing professional audit services and advice.
Communicate audit findings and recommendations to clients in a clear and concise manner.
Address client queries and concerns, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
Collaborate with clients to implement recommended improvements and best practices.
Requirements:
Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is mandatory.
2-3 years of relevant work experience in auditing..
Thorough knowledge of auditing standards, practices, and regulations.
Proficiency in auditing software, financial analysis tools, and MS Office applications.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple audit engagements.
Professional integrity and adherence to ethical standards.
