In Legal Entity & Controlling, you will join a team of talented and welcoming colleagues.
Are you a Chartered Accountant or a Cost Accountant with experience in Finance & Controlling? Do you have knowledge of the Shipping Industry? If yes, you might be our future Associate Finance Controller.
Key Responsibilities
The candidate will be responsible to handle end-to end month end closing and reporting for the legal entities in compliance with company accounting policies and the application of IFRS.
Added responsibilities as below
• Prepare journal entries on a monthly basis by collecting necessary data, analysing and preparing audit trail support for the journal entries
• Coordinate accounting matters with financial controllers and finance business partners
• Preparation of monthly Financials Reporting and closing of books for entities
• Perform monthly voyage controlling review and analysis with defined metrics and perform reconciliation for various segment and accounts and provide explanation for the open items
• Accounting of fixed assets including lease accounting as per IFRS 16 and prepare monthly analysis on P&L accounts and submit to Finance controller
• Manage communication with external auditors on external financial statements and accounting issues
• Process improvements to further streamline accounting tasks, increase efficiency and shorten month end close calendar.

What we are looking for
An ideal candidate should be a Chartered Accountant or a Cost Accountant or semi qualified with minimum 4 years of experience in Finance & Controlling along with below abilities –
• Knowledge of shipping industry will be an added advantage
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations where limited procedures currently exist
• Willingness to work for extended hours as per business needs
• Ability to plan and follow-through to completion and documentation
• Good English communication skills, both written and verbal
