About the Role: Seeking a Compliance Officer responsible for statutory legal compliance, regulatory oversight, and risk mitigation across multiple entities (1 public trust, 2 private companies, and associated ventures).
Key Responsibilities:
• Draft and review legal agreements for collaborations and ventures.
• Conduct due diligence on partner organizations and service providers.
• Coordinate with funders and internal teams during funding processes.
• Manage board meetings, draft minutes, and ensure follow-up actions.
• Oversee secretarial compliances for private companies and maintain statutory records.
• Monitor regulatory changes and ensure compliance with Trust laws, Companies Act, Labour Laws, and Secretarial Standards.
• Identify and mitigate operational risks through proactive audits.
Qualifications:
• Company Secretary (semi-qualified) with paralegal expertise or Law Graduate.
• 3-5 years' experience in statutory compliance, corporate secretarial practices, and Trust & Corporate Laws.
Skills Required:
• Proficiency in legal drafting, corporate governance, and compliance.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Other Requirements:
• Ability to work beyond the scope of Compliance Officer when work demands.
• Strong hold on financial statements understanding and governance-related matters.
• Maintain strict levels of confidentiality and integrity.
