Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented US Accounting Associate to join our team. As a fresher, you will assist in various aspects of US-based accounting processes, including bookkeeping, financial reporting, and tax filings. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates to kick-start their careers in US accounting and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records for clients based in the US.
2. Help prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, and maintain general ledger entries.
3. Assist in monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes.
4. Assist in performing bank reconciliations and ensuring that discrepancies are addressed in a timely manner.
5. Assist in the preparation of financial statements such as balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and cash flow statements.
6. Support the accounting team in preparing monthly or quarterly financial reports for clients and management.
7. Ensure compliance with US accounting standards, tax laws, and other relevant financial regulations.
8. Assist in maintaining accurate and organized documentation of financial transactions.
9. Provide support to senior accountants in client-facing activities, ensuring effective communication.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s / master’s degree in commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
4. Excellent English communication skills (both written and verbal).
5. Ability to work in a team and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
6. Knowledge of accounting software like QuickBooks, Tally, or other related tools is a plus.
7. A strong willingness to learn and develop accounting skills.
