In Canada, CNOOC International has oil sands assets in Long Lake, located in northern Alberta just south of Fort McMurray, which is a SAGD and partial Upgrader operation with production capacity of 85,000 barrels of bitumen a day. We also have interest in several other oil sands projects, including Hangingstone, operated by Greenfire Resources Operating Corporation and Syncrude’s oil sands mining upgrading facility. In addition to our oil sands business, we have shale gas land in Northeast British Columbia, a power station in Balzac, Alberta, and interest in a wind farm in southern Alberta. Calgary is our regional corporate office for all North America.

Your Background
Six years of oil and gas experience with previous experience in Internal Audit;
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college;
CIA, CPA, or CFE designations are considered an asset;
Ability to maintaining composure and flexibility under pressure while meeting multiple deadlines;
Excellent written and verbal communications skills with proven root cause analysis skills;
Familiarity with management systems and document control are considered an asset;
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Your Role with Our Team
Plan, develop and execute internal audit and control programs using generally accepted auditing standards;
Oversight and maintenance of the company’s management system;
Evaluate and monitor internal controls, execute improvements, and conduct SOX control testing procedures;
Prepare and communicate audit findings and recommendations with internal stakeholder and formalize into written reports;
Track remediations to headquarter and internal audit findings;
Participate in the development of the annual audit plan;
Sharing best practices, industry trends, and internal observations.
