Hybrid Working
We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. We’re flexible on how this works and it may continue to change and evolve. Depending on your team, typically this means that colleagues spend a minimum of between 20% to 60% of their time in the office, which could be over a week, a month or a quarter. However, some colleagues may choose to spend more time in the office over a typical period than their role type requires. We also have a flexible working process where, subject to business needs, all colleagues globally are able to request work patterns to reflect their personal circumstances These requests will be reviewed and agreed for a period of time i.e., will have a start and end date.

Introduction:
Working with the global ESG team and helping drive ESG integration and thought leadership across Barclays research.
What will you be doing?
Work as an integral part of the Global ESG team and collaborate with broader Barclays’ global research teams in integrating material ESG considerations into their fundamental research.
Help the teams research relevant topics, gather and maintain data, collaborate with data providers etc as required to support and drive our research agenda.
Collaborate and communicate both within the ESG Team and across the research department to support a coherent and consistent approach to ESG integration and marketing.
Update marketing materials, help put together data to respond to client queries etc as required by the Global ESG team members/stakeholders.
Understand how ESG impacts different asset classes/instruments and help teams integrating into their research
Helping team build out thought process around specific themes or any future problem statements
Updating and maintaining databases to track relevant financial, economic or other indicators which may be relevant to the themes being researched

Skills that will help you in the role:
Experience in ESG and Integration with financial assets
Strong understanding of financial terms, valuations, balance sheet, etc.
Have exposure in research and building financial models including basic valuation techniques like DCF and relative valuation techniques PE, EV/EBITDA
Strong interest in the subject matter
Strong attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Proficient in MS Excel and MS Office applications
MBA or Chartered Accountant or any other equivalent degree (like CFA) in any stream with at least 2 years of prior experience
Any ESG certification will be advantage
Desirable skills/Preferred Qualifications:
Strong quantitative aptitude and qualitative reasoning coupled with strong verbal and written communication skills
Enthusiasm, energy, willingness to work in a goal-oriented team and cultural fit are very important
Good presentation skills / client interaction skills
