Business Overview:

The Financial Institutions Debt Capital Markets (FIG DCM) group, a core pillar of BNP Paribas’ Global Capital Markets platform, is expanding rapidly across North America, and is seeking a Vice President to further support our growth ambitions. FIG DCM’s mission is to pitch and execute capital‑markets financing solutions for financial‑institution clients, originating and managing mandates that feed the broader Global Capital Markets franchise. Our coverage spans the United States and Canada, delivering debt offerings across a full suite of products—including senior bonds, capital securities, and liability‑management transactions—across multiple currencies and industry verticals.

Responsibilities:
• Support the team in preparing pitchbooks for clients (corporates & financials) to issue bonds in USD, EUR, GBP and CHF debt capital markets
• Analyze current market conditions and macroeconomic developments in order to provide ideas to clients
• Direct client coverage and dialogue as secondary support for senior originators across primarily insurance clients, in addition to BDC, Asset Managers and Banks
• Lead the coordination between internal and external parties for the bond deal execution process (internal management, general counsel, compliance, risk management, underwriters, and rating agencies)
• Prepare documents for the relevant committees for approval of underwriting mandates
• Assist the team in organizing the materials (pitchbooks, slides for specific contents, client information)

Minimum Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree and at least five years of work experience in the relevant field, or graduate degree with relevant experience
• Highly developed organizational and project/time-management skills
• Excellent communication, presentation, and business writing skills under pressure
• A strong commitment to integrity, professionalism, and BNPP’s guiding principles
• A demonstrable ability to work effectively with team members in diverse groups and regions
• Solid work ethic, motivation level, and strong attention to detail
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:
• Between 2 and 5 years of professional experience in Debt Capital Markets covering Financial Institutions and/or experience within the insurance industry in a capital markets capacity

FINRA Registrations Required:
• SIE, 79, 63

The Banking Center Relationship Banker 1 role will provide services for Banking Center customers and assist the team in achievement of sales, service, and operation goals, based on Webster's Strategic Guidelines. The role will process all customer related financial transactions in accordance with the rules, regulations, and guidelines of the Bank. Additionally, this role uses excellent communication and active listening skills to learn about the customer's financial needs, establish trust, optimize sales opportunities, generate leads, and provide quality customer service as well as develop and maintain a strong partnership with various business segments through collaboration and communication.

What you will do
• Responds to customers' needs in an accurate and timely fashion, capitalizing on resources and tools available.
• Evaluates needs of clients and offers appropriate financial products and services, through needs-based conversations, to build and deepen relationships.
• Perform routine teller transactions like deposits, withdrawals, check cash, loan payments and other transactions.
• Support segmentation strategy by implementing sales, retention, and other bank initiatives to execute Banking Center’s growth and profitability objectives.
• Expected to achieve/ exceed both individual and team goals in sales, service and operations.
• Maintains compliance with Federal and State regulations as well as bank policies and procedures. Meet/exceed branch audits and operations evaluation requirements.

Skills and Abilities
• Ability to work a flexible and/or rotating schedule. May be required to work Saturdays, Sundays and extended hours. Travel may be required to alternate Banking Centers.
• Self-starter and highly motivated.
• Working knowledge of all products and services.
• Keeps current with all systems used for branch transaction processing.
• Demonstrates strong customer service skills and the ability to support teamwork, creating a positive working environment.

Education Qualifications
• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
• Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) or Associate's Degree preferred

Experience Qualifications
• 3-4 years of customer service and needs-based banking sales experience preferred

The estimated salary range for this position is $18.50 per hour USD to $23.00 per hour USD. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
