Part-Time Bookkeeper / Accountant – Construction
We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper / Accountant to join our long-established, family run business, located in Ferntree Gully.
This role is ideal for someone looking for a flexible schedule during standard office hours Monday to Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm. The position is taking over from a long-term family member who has been managing the bookkeeping for many years.
This is an in-office, part time position, with a full handover and training provided, ready to start immediately.
Key Responsibilities
Bank and account reconciliations
Accounts payable and receivable
Payroll processing
Job costing and management reporting
BAS and other regulatory lodgements
Liaising with the external accountant when required
About You
Proficient in MYOB or Xero - (currently MYOB, but open to software adaption for the right candidate)
Prior bookkeeping or accounting experience
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
Comfortable communicating with both internal and external stakeholders
Understanding of ATO, SRO and payroll compliance for a small family business
The Role
Part-time: Approx. 4 days per week
Family-friendly hours – ideal for parents returning to work
In-office role in Ferntree Gully
Remuneration based on experience
