• Key Responsibilities: Maintaining accurate and timely financial records, including sales, accounts payable, accounts receivable,payroll (multiple employees) invoicing, commissions, daily journal / financial entries and bank reconciliations employing software provided (see criteria).Super, BAS, IAS, PAYG, PAYG Instalments, PAYGW, Bank, cc, loan Reconciliations, Conversion Balances, (TPAR & Work Cover highly regarded)Prepare monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.Ensure the accurate, timely and efficient completion of client work while fostering a productive and collaborative team environment.Assist with tax preparation and lodgement, ensuring compliance with the Australian tax office.Provide documentation and support for internal and external audits as needed.With experience work on the improvement of the design maintenance and review of internal business processes for a given client. Suggest new software that may help them grow their business.Respond to inquiries from management regarding financial data.Maintain strong interpersonal skills to connect with clients and team members.Educate clients and manage relationships effectively.Follow checklists and training materials, ensuring an expert level of Australian bookkeeping is attained. Experience, Skills Required and Other Requirements: Ability to work variable hours from home and our office in Proven experience in resolving technical accounting and bookkeeping issues.A quiet home environment with ability to connect hi speed internet (minimum 30Mbps which may be provided by us)Strong technical knowledge in accounting disciplines, including bookkeeping, and financial reporting.Self-discipline to stay updated on company and industry developments and address training needs promptly.
• Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or related field.Or Cert IV in Accounting & Bookkeeping (current), and or Cert III in Business AdministrationIdeally would have worked for several years at a BPO our outsourced provider of bookkeeping staff to Australian clients.Strong understanding of accounting principles and tax.Expert in English language cloud-based accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks, Xero, Dext, others) Exposure to Karbon or Cone Practice Management software or similar.Expert in Microsoft Excel and other financial softwareExperience with Google Workspace (Google Sheets etc)Excellent attention to detail, strong organizational ability, and able to manage multiple tasks. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Minimum 5 years experience in similar role.CA / CPA desirable but not essentialStrong drive to exceed expectations and progress career.Able to write and converse in English highly regarded.
