Principal Responsibilities
The role holder acts as a First Line of Defence and work closely with Head NFR and Wholesale NFR Team to ensure the execution of operational risk management activities as defined by the Operational Risk Management Framework as well as Business Financial Crime Risk Management Framework. Key stakeholders include colleagues in FLOD (Country Business / Team and INM WCOO function), SLOD (all key risk stewards) and TLOD (Internal Audit).
The role holder is expected to help facilitate operational risk and control related matters via multiple activities like Risk and Control Assessment (RCA), Continuous Control Monitoring, FC Reviews etc. The role holder is also expected to upheld the HSBC values and complete the project (s) assigned to him/ her with adequate level of satisfaction.
Requirements
Essential:
Inclination to lean more, especially in the space of operational risk.
Problem solving skills with ability to consider alternative and lateral solutions
Highly developed communication and presentation skills set.
Ability to priorities and work independently under pressure within a team environment
Interns attempting next CA exam in May-2026.
Minimum Graduation or as required for the role, whichever is higher
Desired:
Exposure to an operations and a control environment, such as audit or compliance.
Additional Information
Mandatory to successfully complete Anti-Money Laundering and Sanctions training and post-course assessment, as required.
