About the Role:
Are you looking for your next exciting teaching opportunity in School Based Education Support?

We’re on the lookout for enthusiastic and experienced educators who can specifically teach Certificate III in School Based Education Support (CHC30221) and who are motivated to make an impact by delivering practical, hands-on training to students who are ready to support teachers and make a meaningful difference in school communities.

Our teachers are attentive to improvement opportunities and flexible on delivery methods to ensure a quality learning experience focused on the individual learning capabilities of their students.
Why are we hiring? Our School Based Education Support program is expanding, providing great opportunities for like-minded, suitably qualified and experienced TAFE teachers to join the team on a casual basis.
Key areas of responsibility include, but not limited to:
Prepare, deliver and assess vocational education and training programs, applying a variety of teaching methods, (including flexible delivery, on the job training and assessment), which reflect best practice teaching methodology.
Research, adapt and develop innovative learning practices and delivery options that enhance the Program area’s capacity to meet the learning needs of students.
Provide learning programs that are inclusive for students from diverse cultures, backgrounds and abilities; and implement appropriate support and/or modified learning programs and strategies as required.
Contribute and participate as a member of the teaching area on a range of operational duties including course advice, student selection, enrolments, promotional activities, graduation and administrative duties.
Provide valuable input into The Gordon’s Centre of Excellence with designing and developing valuable initiatives across Disability and Inclusion learning.

Salary:
Casual Teacher L1 | $82.01 (teaching) and $55.74 (non-teaching) per hour | AQF4 teaching qualification
Casual Teacher L2 | $85.23 (teaching) and $57.+3 (non-teaching) per hour | AQF5 teaching qualification
Casual Teacher L3 | $88.60 (teaching) and $60.1+ (non-teaching) per hour | AQF6+ teaching qualification
Superannuation is paid at the current superannuation guarantee rate.
About You:
Do you have a passion for education and a readiness to share your knowledge and experiences with the next generation of classroom support professionals?
Are you experienced in engaging with a diverse student cohorts?
Do you enjoy collaborating with a passionate faculty while working autonomously to achieve positive student outcomes?

Some key knowledge and qualifications required include:
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116/TAE40122) or equivalent.
Industry qualifications to enable you to teach Certificate III in School Based Education Support (CHC30221).
Demonstrated working knowledge and application of the Victorian Child Safe Standards and National Child Safe Principles.
Demonstrated knowledge and application of appropriate behaviours when engaging with children, including children with a disability and from culturally and/or linguistically diverse background.
A valid Victorian Employee Working with Children Check.
