Position: Certified Sterile Processor– Ophthalmic Surgery Center
Job Type: Full-time. No weekends or holidays.
Job Summary: Provide decontamination and sterilization support to the operating room.

We currently have an opening for a Certified Sterile Processor to support the daily activities of this ambulatory surgery center.
Responsibilities include:
Accountable for decontamination, preparation, and sterile processing of surgical instruments and supplies for patient use
Maintain inventory of supplies
Perform the required biological/ chemical monitoring tests on sterilizers and maintain logs according to established policy & procedure
Interpret sterilization printouts
Use appropriate packaging methods in preparation of instrumentation, equipment, and supplies
Inspect and assemble surgical instruments
Clean instruments according to the manufacturer’s instructions
Correctly operate sterilizers, ultrasonic washer, and other processing equipment
Educational/Professional Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED Certificate
Training/ courses in sterile technique, sterilization of instruments
