Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Chartered Accountant at Active Bean Counter. The Chartered Accountant will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations, including bookkeeping, payroll, and accounts reconciliation. They will also analyze operational data, provide cash flow analysis, and identify growth opportunities for the business. The role requires strong financial expertise and the ability to make sound financial decisions.
• Financial Record Keeping: Accountants are responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records for individuals, businesses, or organizations. This includes recording transactions, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
• Financial Analysis: Accountants analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations to management or stakeholders. They may assess the financial health of an entity, identify trends, and offer guidance for improving financial performance.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Accountants assist in the budgeting process by preparing budgets based on historical data and projected future expenses and revenues. They also contribute to forecasting financial outcomes and help management make informed decisions.
• Tax Planning and Compliance: Accountants play a crucial role in tax planning by identifying opportunities to minimize tax liabilities while ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations. They prepare and file tax returns accurately and on time, and may provide advice on tax strategies.
• Financial Reporting: Accountants prepare various financial reports, such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to communicate the financial performance and position of an entity to stakeholders, including investors, creditors, and management.
• Audit Support: In organizations subject to audits, accountants assist auditors by providing necessary financial information and documentation. They may also conduct internal audits to evaluate compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations.
Qualifications
• Strong knowledge and experience in accounting and financial management
• Experience in bookkeeping, payroll, and accounts reconciliation
• Knowledge of VAT management and regulations
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to analyze and interpret financial data
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
• Chartered Accountant qualification
• Experience in middle-market companies or high-net-worth individuals is a plus
