GOAT Brand Labs is seeking a skilled Financial Manager to oversee the financial operations for one of our recently acquired brands. This role will act as a central resource for financial management within GOAT Brand Labs, ensuring robust financial health and supporting strategic growth initiatives.
Summary:
We are looking for a dynamic and competent professional having relevant experience in this domain. The successful candidate will own a revenue portfolio and actively participate in business development. You are both a seasoned finance expert who doesnt mind rolling up their sleeves and an entrepreneur who wants to build a business. This is a unique opportunity to be on the partner/owner track and manage your P&L within a rapidly growing company.
Financial Operations and Reporting:
Lead the preparation and timely delivery of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flows) in accordance with Indian accounting standards and MIS reporting.
Supervise all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, and Revenue Recognition.
Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
Facilitating the Audit Process Facilitate the due diligence process and fund raise as and when required.
Tax Compliance and Collaboration:
Coordinate with internal teams and external advisors on Indian tax compliance matters (TDS, GST, etc.) and ensure timely compliance
Budgeting, Forecasting, and Analysis:
Partner with the CFO to develop and manage comprehensive budgets and forecasts.
Analyse financial data, identifying trends, and variances, and providing actionable insights to guide strategic decision-making.
Internal Controls, Risk Management, and Compliance:
Develop, document, and implement rigorous internal controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard assets and maintain financial integrity.
Ensure compliance with Indian financial regulations, reporting standards, and relevant tax laws.
Lead risk assessment processes and identify and mitigate potential financial risks.
Team Management:
Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of bookkeepers and accountants.
Experience & Competencies
Professional Credentials: CA (or equivalent) Mandatory.
Minimum of 1.5 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance roles, with demonstrable experience as a Finance Controller or similar management position at a global services provider company.
Deep expertise and a strong understanding of Indian accounting principles.
Advanced MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, financial modelling).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and functions.
Strong problem-solver with the ability to analyse complex financial information and propose solutions.,
