Job Description
- Prepare and review routine accounts
- Prepare monthly standalone financial reporting files
- Prepare and review periodic financial projection files
- Prepare and ensure timely closure of quarterly financials for the Group level consolidation
- Finalize annual audited accounts including notes and disclosures as required under regulations.
- Analyze overall financial performance and support for any queries for any ad-hoc movement
- Oversee and report all related party transactions and disclosures as required under various regulations
- Ensuring consistent reporting across all entities.
- Ensuring timely completion of statutory and internal audits which includes interpreting accounting standards, finalizing notes to accounts, accounting policies etc.
- Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support.
- Prepare finance section of Annual Operating Plan (AOP) including coordinating with all functions/departments and estimating/tracking function/department wise expenses.
- Prepare periodic estimates/forecasts
B. Tax and regulatory compliances
i. Income Tax, GST and other statutory dues
- Review monthly TDS payments under Income tax
- Prepare and review advance tax computation files and tax payment approval notes
- Review monthly GST returns and payments
- Understand, evaluate and implement legislative changes as applicable under Income tax and GST such as TCS applicability on sale of electricity, GST e-invoicing and Input credit eligibility rules.
- Ensure all regulatory returns/filings are done in an appropriate manner.
- Prepare and review annual tax audit information (Form 3CA-CD) for both entities
- Review annual GST return and audit files (GSTR + and +C) for both entities
- Coordinate with consultants for tax interpretations, compliances and assessments
- Identification of potential future Tax issues & Resolution.
- Oversee all audits/inspections/assessments by GST, Income tax and other taxation authorities.
ii. SEBI and other regulatory compliances
- Prepare and review periodic returns to be submitted to SEBI as AMC
- Prepare quarterly FINCON returns data to be submitted with IRDAI as a financial conglomerate
C. Domain expertise in Ind AS
- Understand, evaluate and conclude accounting/financial reporting for new set of transactions under Ind AS
- Implement accounting policies and contribute in drafting new as well as revising existing policies.
D. Internal Control and others
- Design and execute processes to improve internal control across accounting, financial reporting and disclosures.
- Set-up systems, processes, SOPs for ongoing monitoring, review, and rectification of any reporting/compliance breaches.
- Ensure robust internal processes for processing payments, compliance with approved AOP and reporting variances to Management
- Prepare and review risk and control matrices audited by external auditors
E. Team oversight and coordination
- Oversee finance team members and ensure smooth coordination amongst team members
- Oversee monthly payroll payouts and report variances to Management.
- Review business support service workings for group wide recoveries.
- Oversee overall audit progress and ensure timely completion
- General oversight of finance of BFS AMC, BFS Trustee, BFS Direct, eBH, BASS and BAFDL
F. Any other assignment, project or responsibility that may be given from time to time
- Plan and execute IT implementation of finance function in co-ordination with IT for new ventures and add on needs of BFS/BHIL, more specifically BFS Ventures to start with
- Support/prepare financial statements of BFS/BHIL on need basis
- Support in taxation matters of BFS/BHIL
