We’re seeking a passionate and experienced Commercial Analyst for Ageing to join our team on a permanent full-time basis with hybrid work options.
About the Role
Full-time Permanent (38 hours per week)
Hybrid work model: 3 days in the office Parramatta/Sydney CBD, 2 days’ work from home
Base salary + salary packaging benefits up to $18,550 (pay less tax) + 12% superannuation
About the Role:
This role is responsible for utilising advanced modelling and data analytics to provide robust forecasts, analysis and reports that enable more effective, timely and informed business decisions. Your responsibilities will include providing financial analysis and insights to operational teams and assisting managers to evaluate and integrate the information they receive into their operational performance. You will also be taking part in projects and contributing towards performance improvement initiatives to ensure the financial sustainability and compliance with aged care services across NSW & ACT.
Key Responsibilities:
Providing analysis of relevant and operational information assisting managers to evaluate and integrate the information they receive
Coordinating and maintaining team management systems and ensuring relevant information is input on a consistent and regular basis.
Providing a collection of relevant data to assist with budgeting, the operation of the team and the production of regular reports.
Conducting specialised studies as required, providing insights into the operation of the team and the organisation.
Actively promoting safe work practices in the workplace during all activities consistent with Uniting’s policies and complying with all WH&S legislation, policies, and procedures.
Financial modelling, analysis and reporting:
Manipulate, analyse, and synthesise large volumes of data using automation (e.g. macros, power pivots)
Develop dashboard reporting using data visualisation tools like Power Bl
Build and easily manipulate advanced financial models
Operational processes:
Provide simple, clear, and succinct communication materials.
Create and drive the execution of new initiatives/ideas relating to systems, processes and operations to maximise financial performance.
Provide necessary financial reporting and analysis to support the completion of regular Board, Executive and Management reporting requirements.
Prepare and evaluate business cases and tenders.
Ensure the timely completion of regulatory obligations.
Identify areas for process improvement
Client relationship:
Regularly engage with key stakeholders, build strong, effective and strategic relationships, whilst gaining a comprehensive understanding of the relevant business segment.
Provide timely, relevant and quality advice to managers to allow both informal and formal decisions to be made.
Self-leadership:
Actively engage and participate in the company's performance management framework and review processes.
Actively manage upwards and across teams to deliver outcomes.
Qualifications:
Minimum 4 years of experience in a finance analyst or commercial/business analyst role, supporting a business segment with non-financial stakeholders
Tertiary qualification in Accounting/Finance.
Current membership to the Australia Society of Certified Practicing Accountants (CPA), Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) institute
Experience:
Demonstrated experience in producing accurate and timely management reports
Demonstrated experience in managing large volumes of data, analysing data and drawing key insights
Demonstrated experience in developing dashboard reporting and effective power point presentations
Excellent communication skills
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Desirable experience in using Adaptive Insights
Experience in Aged Care and Home Care or Not-for-profit sectors
Even better if you have:

Power Bi experience
Power pivots experience
VBA macro experience
