Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field

The successful candidate will play a key role in a growing team of professionals who assist clients with all aspects of governmental accounting and finance

Participate and support projects that assist government finance departments in preparing for their annual audit
Perform bank reconciliations, pension and post-employment benefit accruals, lease and subscription-based information technology arrangements, capital asset tracking and depreciation, and other annual accounting entries
Assist in assessments of client's finance-related internal controls and make recommendations for improvement
Assist in the implementation of new GASB standards
Assist in the drafting of annual comprehensive financial reports using the firms in-house web-based platform

Our client organizations are State and Local governments and institutions of higher education that follow the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB). The nature and extent of the services provided to our GOAS clients will vary, as will the individual career development and work opportunities for the successful candidate. How You Will Contribute
• Participate and support projects that assist government finance departments in preparing for their annual audit
• Perform bank reconciliations, pension and post-employment benefit accruals, lease and subscription-based information technology arrangements, capital asset tracking and depreciation, and other annual accounting entries

• CPA and/or CFE certification
