The Role
We're looking for a sharp Content + SEO/GEO intern who can hit the ground running. You'll own a meaningful chunk of Affluense's content engine — writing long-form thought leadership, optimizing for search, and increasingly, optimizing for AI answer engines (GEO). This is an equal-parts content and distribution role, not a ghostwriting gig.
What You'll Do
Content Writing
• Research and write 10–15 SEO/GEO-optimized articles per month targeting wealth managers, private bankers, and BFSI decision-makers
• Draft LinkedIn posts, newsletters, and short-form content for the Affluense brand
• Develop content briefs, topic clusters, and editorial calendars in coordination with the founder
• Write for both top-of-funnel awareness and bottom-of-funnel lead generation
SEO & GEO
• Conduct keyword research, on-page optimization, and internal linking across the Affluense blog
• Track and improve rankings using tools like Ahrefs, Semrush, or Google Search Console
• Optimize existing and new content for Generative Engine Optimization — structuring content to rank in AI-generated answers (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews)
• Identify and flag technical SEO issues (crawlability, canonicalization, schema, page speed)
• Build and maintain a backlink outreach tracker
You're a Fit If You Have
• 1–2 prior internships or freelance projects in content writing + SEO (portfolio or live links required)
• Hands-on experience with at least one SEO tool (Ahrefs, Semrush, Moz, GSC)
• Familiarity with GEO concepts — structuring content for AI answer engines is a strong plus
• Strong written English — you can write crisp, jargon-free B2B content
• Basic understanding of BFSI, fintech, or wealth management (not mandatory, but a real advantage)
• Comfort with a fast-moving, founder-led startup environment.
