Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity
This is a key role within the Business Technology Commercial Team and as the Contract Owner, you are responsible for maintaining commercial contracts that exist between the technology group and extremal providers. You will ensure the delivery of contract standards as determined by the Auckland Transport Legal and Procurement groups.
Key responsibilities will include:
Support contract and commercial functions for Technology Delivery and Operational teams
Provide contractual, relationship liaison between Technology teams and external ICT providers/suppliers/partners
Ensure all contracts within your portfolio are administered and maintained to the highest standards at all times

As a technical advisor with extensive experience in the management of commercial contracts you will be commercially aware, have a big picture approach yet have a keen eye for detail. You will utilise your top-notch relationship skills as you work with your internal stakeholders as well as external suppliers and vendors who are part of your assigned portfolio.
To be successful in this role you will need -
A tertiary qualification in business management or other relevant discipline
A minimum of 5 years' experience in a contracts management or IT supplier management role
Extensive experience in the management, monitoring and assessment of vendors and contracts
The ability to understand business issues and demonstrate a business focus.
