The successful candidate(s) will oversee the day-to-day financial accounting of the dealership and will report to the Corporate Controller.
The Controller oversees all aspects of financial management, including accounting, budgeting, and forecasting.
This is an in-person, on-site position at our dealership.
What you will do:
Prepare accurate and timely monthly financial statements and reports for management and senior executives.
Develop annual operating and capital budgets in collaboration with department heads and management.
Monitor budget performance, investigate variances and recommend corrective actions.
Manage cash flow,
Prepare and submit government remittances.
Ensure compliance with Generally Acceptable Accounting Principles (“GAAP”) and other applicable regulations.
Maintain accurate records of fixed and leased assets, depreciation schedules and capital projects.
Develop, implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with policies.
Perform the day-to-day financial accounting.
Prepare financial statements and operating budgets.
Complete month-end and year-end closing processes.
Balance and reconcile all schedules.
Calculate and prepare month-end and year-end reconciliation statements.
Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
Onboard new hires
Provide Human Resources assistance to the staff.
Recruit, train, mentor and supervise administrative team members.
For this role, come equipped with:
A strong working knowledge of detailed financial data analysis.
Working knowledge of federal, provincial, and local tax compliance regulations and reporting.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
The ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Proficient communication, interpersonal and organizational skills are vital to the role.
Management or supervisory experience is an asset.
Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting preferred.
