Job Title: Corporate Accountant
Location & Schedule: Remote, U.S. Working Hours
Reports To: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Corporate Accountant to manage accounting functions for multiple operating entities across various states. This role is fully remote but requires working in alignment with U.S. business hours . The Corporate Accountant will be responsible for preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports using QuickBooks, overseeing payroll processes, and ensuring accurate financial management across entities. The successful candidate will report directly to the CFO and supervise one Bookkeeper Assistant.
Key Responsibilities:
• Financial Reporting:
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
• Reconcile balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and general ledger accounts.
• Assist with budgets, forecasts, and financial performance analysis.
• QuickBooks Management:
• Oversee the QuickBooks setup and maintenance for all entities.
• Ensure accurate transaction recording and categorization.
• Produce and validate financial reports, upholding data integrity.
• Payroll Oversight:
• Supervise payroll operations to ensure timely and precise processing.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
• Coordinate with HR and external payroll providers to address discrepancies.
• Cash Management & Accounting Support:
• Monitor and manage cash flow and bank account activities to ensure liquidity.
• Support the CFO in monthly closes, tax preparation, and annual audits.
• Recommend enhancements to financial processes and performance.
• Team Leadership & Support:
• Guide and mentor the Bookkeeper Assistant, ensuring quality and timeliness.
• Foster a collaborative environment for effective inter-team communication.
• Assist in the onboarding and development of junior team members as required.
Qualifications & Requirements:
• Education & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of corporate accounting experience, especially in multi-entity environments.
• Demonstrated expertise in QuickBooks and financial reporting.
• Experience in payroll systems and compliance across multiple states is preferred.
• Skills & Abilities:
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax compliance.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial tools.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and deadline management.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work closely with senior leadership and external partners.
Working Hours:
• Fully remote role , requiring alignment with U.S. business hours (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST/PST) .
• Flexibility may be needed during monthly close periods, audits, or payroll deadlines.
