We're Hiring: Corporate Accounting Manager
Join an award-winning, family-owned Landscaping and Nursery Company on the Eastside! Recognized as a top workplace in the green industry for three years running, we’re looking for a skilled Corporate Accounting Manager to partner closely with our Owner/CFO. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on execution, process optimization, and operational ownership without needing to steer the strategic ship. The ideal candidate will partner closely with the Owner/CFO, who will define the high-level direction, while you bring that vision to life through hands-on implementation and day-to-day oversight.
This position is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate recording of all transactions in the company’s accounting system. This individual is also responsible for ensuring that the Company is in compliance with all relevant federal, state and local reporting requirements, and in compliance with all relevant regulations. Experience with QuickBooks Enterprise or comparable accounting systems is required. Experience with Aspire Field Service Management Software is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:
Implement strategic decisions set by the Owner/CFO (e.g. new budgets, benefits, cost structure changes)
Onboard and manage budgets within our accounting software, ensuring seamless integration into reporting
Drive timely execution of core processes such as month-end closes, invoicing, and year-end tax preparation
Work closely with our external CPAs
Manage day-to-day financial operations: invoicing, accounts receivable, payroll, vendor payments, and compliance
Lead employee-related processes including onboarding/offboarding, payroll questions, benefits updates, and handbook revisions
Oversee and improve operational systems, workflows, and reporting across departments
Renegotiate vendor contracts and services (insurance, health coverage, benefits)
Lead and prepare weekly/monthly business reviews, reports, and analysis
Ensure accurate documentation, clean recordkeeping, and quality control on deliverables

This is a full-time, in-office position. Designed as a growth opportunity, this role will transition into a Controller position when organizational needs and candidate readiness align.
