Nederman Shared Services is looking for an engaged and driven Cost accountant based in their AFS office in Beverly, MA. As a cost accountant, you will be part of the global finance function and report to the Business Controller of MCT. For the right person, this position can lead to opportunities and development within the Nederman group which operates in 30 countries in 5 continents.
Main Responsibilities:
• Overall responsible for all product costing, BOM structures, calculations and related processes.
• Leading analysis of deviations monthly, quarterly and yearly including forecasting and budget.
• Ongoing analysis and investigations of standard costing, its variances and Root Cause Analysis, pricing and related topics as well as impact on P&L report.
• Close cooperation with procurement, logistics and engineering department in identifying and carry out improvement in procurement and supply chain.
• Managing product obsolescence and calculation of inventory turns.
• Assist with forecasting, monthly close, account reconciliations and reporting requirements.
• Lead the continuing work in identifying and carrying out cost improvements and efficiency measures through profitability analysis of product portfolio as well as purchase price developments.
• Responsible for the yearly pricing process and establish standards.
• Participate in designated business and manufacturing projects i.e. production localization, various CAPEX and ERP projects.
Who are we looking for?
• University education (BSc/MSc) in Accounting and or Finance
• Minimum 3 years of experience from production controlling and/or cost accounting from a manufacturing company is required.
• Deep understanding from product calculations, BOM structures and build-ups and how they influence the financial follow up and its deviations in the company is important.
• Analytical skills and experience with month-end processing, accruals and account reconciliations.
• System oriented and high skills in structuring and systemizing information and data including high excel proficiency.
• Experience with ERP systems required.
• You have a drive and a true interest for identifying improvement areas and work gladly in the manufacturing team to realize them.
• Team and service oriented and eager to interact with multiple interfaces.
• Strong drive and curiosity to understand more and walk the extra mile to achieve results.
• High proficiency in English.
• Position is placed in Beverly, NC at the AFS manufacturing site. The position has a reporting line to the MCT America's Business Controller.
