General Summary: We are hiring a full-time Cost Accountant to join our finance team in Orlando, FL. This role is suited for a CMA-certified accounting professional with at least three years of relevant experience. The position plays a central role in supporting inventory valuation, support program budget variance analysis, and reporting. You will work closely with operations, program managers, and the broader finance team to maintain cost integrity across all aspects of our business.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Cost Analysis and Management
Review standard and actual costs for accuracy
Analyze margins and cost drivers by product, program, and facility
Identify cost variances and provide recommendations for improvement
Support inventory budget development and rolling forecast efforts
Inventory and ERP Management
Manage standard cost updates within Intuitive ERP (v9.0)
Reconcile raw material, WIP, and finished goods balances
Investigate inventory discrepancies and cycle count variances
Validate cost of goods sold during month-end close
Financial Reporting
Prepare internal cost reports and performance summaries
Assist with monthly accruals and job profitability reporting
Support financial statement accuracy for inventory-related accounts
Program Budgeting and EAC Support
Partner with program managers to prepare and update program budgets
Support Estimates at Completion (EACs) and budget-to-actual tracking
Assist in reconciling direct costs tied to government programs

Basic Qualifications (must have):
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) - preferred
Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience
Working knowledge of GAAP and cost accounting principles
Experience with ERP systems and inventory management
U.S. Person status (citizen or lawful permanent resident)
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with Power BI or similar tools for cost reporting
Background in aerospace, defense, or complex manufacturing
Education/Experience:
Must have a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Must have at least 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of certification.
Computer Skills:
ERP system experience required (Intuitive ERP preferred).
Power BI or similar reporting tools preferred.
