Responsibilities
The Finance Department requires a Cost Accountant to ensure the company has a clear understanding of its financial condition
Develop and Maintain Product Standard Costs
Create product standard costs during the budget process and throughout the year
Maintain Inventory Accuracy
Collaborate with Operations to maintain accurate inventory costing and counts
Implement and maintain cycle count process with Master Planner
Inventory Reconciliations and Reporting
Perform monthly inventory reconciliations and generate reports
Capitalization and Obsolescence Analysis
Conduct quarterly inventory reviews to prepare capitalization of variances entries
Assess inventory for obsolescence
Financial Support and Fixed Asset Management
Partner with Operations to provide financial support
Maintain fixed asset records
Track capital spending
Report on completed projects
Account Reconciliation and Month-End Close Activities
Reconcile assigned accounts accurately and efficiently
Assist in month-end and year-end close activities
