Job Description Summary :
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant with 2-3 years of experience in accounting and taxation, specifically in GST and TDS compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Indian tax laws, the ability to handle day-to-day accounting operations, and ensure accurate tax filings.
Job Description :
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
GST Compliance:
• Preparation and filing of monthly/quarterly GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-+, etc.)
• Reconciliation of GST ledgers and returns with the books of accounts Managing input tax credit (ITC) claims and ensuring compliance with GST rules
• Assisting in GST audits and handling notices from tax authorities
TDS Compliance:
• Preparation and filing of TDS returns (Form 24Q, 26Q, 27Q, etc.)
• Calculation and deduction of TDS on various payments, including salaries, contractor payments, and professional fees
• TDS reconciliation and ensuring timely deposit of TDS with the government Issuance of TDS certificates (Form 16, Form 16A) to employees and vendors
General Accounting:
• Maintaining and updating financial records, ledgers, and journals
• Handling day-to-day accounting entries and ensuring accurate financial statements
• Reconciliation of bank accounts, ledgers, and other financial statements Assisting in month-end and year-end closings, preparation of trial balances, and financial reports Support in Audits and Tax Filings:
• Assisting in internal and external audits as required
• Coordinating with auditors and tax consultants for timely and accurate tax filings
Other Ad-Hoc Tasks:
• Managing statutory and tax filings deadlines to ensure compliance
• Supporting finance team with various accounting and taxation queries
PROFILE REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) or a related field. A professional qualification (like CA Inter, CMA, or CS) would be a plus.
• 2-3 years of hands-on experience in accounting, GST, and TDS.
TECHNICAL SKILLSs:
• Proficiency in Tally ERP, QuickBooks, or similar accounting software
• Strong knowledge of GST and TDS provisions under Indian tax laws
• Proficiency in MS Excel for data analysis and reporting
PREFERRED SKILLS:
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks effectively

Summary/Objective:
The Cost Accountant will be responsible for analysing production costs, preparing cost standards, performing variance analysis, and supporting inventory and margin reporting. This role plays a key part in helping the business control expenses, improve operational efficiency, and support pricing strategies.
Essential Functions
• Analyse manufacturing and operational costs, including raw materials, labor, and overhead.
• Develop and maintain standard cost models for all food products and production processes.
• Prepare and review cost reports, budgets, and forecasts on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Perform variance analysis (actual vs. standard cost) and report on key drivers to management.
• Monitor inventory levels, perform periodic physical inventory checks, and reconcile discrepancies.
• Collaborate with procurement and production teams to track and manage waste, spoilage, and yield loss.
• Assist in pricing decisions by providing cost-based insights and profitability analysis.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and food safety regulations.
• Support external audits and provide documentation as required.
• Contribute to cost-saving initiatives by identifying inefficiencies and recommending process improvements.
• Provide weekly and monthly reports.
• Assist in ad hoc projects.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:30pm to 4:30 am IST. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Required Education and Experience
• A bachelor’s degree in accounting & finance or equivalent qualification with at least four years of related experience and exceptional knowledge in excel and data analysis. Professional Qualification equivalent to ICWAI and is preferrable.
Preferred Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field; CMA or CPA preferred.
• Four years of related experience and exceptional knowledge in excel and data analysis
• Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, inventory valuation, and production analysis.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
