Job description, work day and responsibilities
Responsible for providing data analysis and insights for Retention/Engagement Marketing and Product teams.
Create accurate and timely analyses on a wide variety of areas including marketing offer operational performance, trend analysis, campaign performance and subscriber behavior and responses to marketing offers.
Additional responsibilities may include offer sizing, forecasting and developing and maintaining dashboards.
Using new analytical tools and enhancing existing ones where needed.
Providing insight into and develop new ideas and approaches to improve operational results.
Partner with cross functional teams such as Finance, Strategy and Customer Care to understand enterprise trends, competitive environment and their impacts on subscriber behavior and provide conclusions and recommendations to business owners.
Consolidate information and present to senior management in a clear and concise manner.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
BS/BA/MS in an analytical field (e.g., Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Finance) with 4-7 years of relevant work experience
Expert in SAS/SQL. Proficiency with programming languages such as R/Python is preferred
Working knowledge of advanced statistical concepts (essential) and machine learning techniques (Nice to have)
Experience with manipulating large and complex databases and developing appropriate data models to evaluate and solve business problems
Excellent communication skills including an ability to communicate and work effectively with business managers and diverse cross-functional groups
Ability to accommodate change and adapt accordingly
Understanding of credit card P&L is preferred
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Experience in summarizing data and building presentations using Powerpoint
Proficiency in standard MS Office applications
Have participated or led data analysis in highly complex business problems
Have developed executive level presentations that identify business trends, operational successes and opportunities based on transactional data
