Position Summary: The Director of Finance has day-to-day supervision responsibilities over PrimeCareHealth’s Finance Department, including, but not limited to, the monthly financial statements, close process, accounts payable, payroll, and direct supervision of finance staff. The Director of Finance also acts as an advisor to other operational leaders at PrimeCareHealth and works closely with the Chief Financial Officer to ensure all necessary financial and regulatory reports and audits are prepared and completed on a timely basis and are compliant with applicable regulatory bodies. A minimum of three (3) days of onsite work per week are required once the probationary period has been completed.


Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for development and implementation of all financial information systems and accounting workflows, including, but not limited to, monthly financial statements/reports and the corresponding close process, payroll, and accounts payable.
Verifies patient receivable accounts within the Electronic Medical Records and reconciles if there are variances and reasons for such variances.
Maintains the fixed asset schedule and prepares journal entries to recognize monthly depreciation, acquisitions, and disposals.
Prepares various schedules in conjunction with annual audit process and supports annual audit procedures, including any necessary financial reporting at state and federal levels.
Monitors grant-spending activity against grant budgets and request reimbursements, as necessary.
Prepares annual operating budget collaboratively with the CFO and other members of the Senior Leadership Team and takes an active leadership role in monthly, yearly, and annual reporting and forecasting.
Assists with the Uniform data System (UDS}, Federal Financial Report (FFR), Medicaid and Medicare cost reports.
Prepares monthly financial statements with variance analysis, performance indicators, and key metrics and ensures compliance with accounting and regulatory requirements.
Maintains the general ledger and Chart of Accounts, in accordance with the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and
Develops and improves financial systems, financial policies, and internal control procedures.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Experience, or Licensure

Master’s degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Healthcare Informatics or Information Science is required.
5-7 years of experience in financial management/reporting, budgeting, grant reporting, PC-based accounting systems, electronic spreadsheets, non-profit tax returns, data management, and preparing, reviewing, and presenting performance data required.
Minimum of 2 years of experience within a healthcare environment, preferably in primary care, patient-centered medical home, or ambulatory care environments.
Experience with payroll processes and requirements, preferably ADP Workforce Now required.
Managed care and FQHC environment background is a plus.
Strongly preferred experience with Oracle.
