Director - Statutory Accounting | Shared Service/ GBS (Chartered Accountant (CA) is mandatory for this position)
• Develop and implement comprehensive accounting policies in line with statutory requirements.
• Oversee the preparation of accurate financial reports and statements.
• Manage a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance and support.
• Ensure compliance with all statutory accounting regulations.
• Coordinate with external auditors for audit processes.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement in accounting operations.
• Provide strategic input to senior management regarding financial planning and budgeting.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in statutory accounting regulations.
The Successful Applicant
A successful 'Director - Statutory Accounting' should have: (Chartered Accountant (CA) is mandatory for this position)
• A Qualified Accountant (CA / CPA) - Mandatory15+ years of experience required in Statutory Audit & Financial Reporting management (preferably over 7 years with a Big 4 Accounting firm)Techincal Skills: Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle). Strong knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP, and other relevant standards.Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with global teams.Project Management: Experience managing large-scale projects and change initiatives.Compliance Knowledge: In-depth understanding of internal controls, audit processes, and regulatory compliance.Process Improvement: Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements and efficiencies.
