We are a global energy leader seeking an experienced Energy Accounting Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for timely and accurate recording of cash receipts, direct debit run, and match invoices into the AR ledgers.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Business, Finance, or Accounting, with relevant language skills. Previous experience in accounts receivable, cash application, master data, or data analytical/customer service roles is highly desirable.
You will be working on a hybrid basis, with a combination of office and remote work. This position requires good analytical and numerical skills, as well as financial accounting experience. Knowledge of AS 400 and SAP systems is also beneficial.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform day-to-day processing of cheques, Direct Debit run, EFT/wire transfers, and AR transactions.
• Review and process refund transactions, deductions, and other differences in adherence with policy.
• Issue debit notes and credit notes in accordance with policy.
• Timely allocation of incoming payments, unapplied cash, and research on payment discrepancies.
• Run ad-hoc queries and monitor customers' accounts with BP's credit standards.
Requirements
