Fire and Safety Industries is a privately-owned Australian Company specialising in the manufacture, supply, installation and servicing of Fire Suppression Systems for the Mining, Construction and Agriculture Industries. Our Head Office is in Brisbane, with multiple branches in Northern and Southern regions of the east-coast and a distribution network across Australia; both west-coast and east-coast and a growing market share in international regions.
The position:
We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, highly motivated Service Technician based out of the Moura Region. Mechanically minded is preferred and our Training Department will train you in the rest!
At the completion of formal training and with continued on the job training, the role will be servicing customers throughout the Mining Industry. Working an even-time roster from our Moura Location and local mine sites, your responsibilities and duties will include:
Perform diagnostic tests to identify the root cause of equipment malfunctions or system failures.
Conduct regular maintenance on mobile equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
Collaborative with other service technicians or team members to complete repairs and installations.
Provide technical assistance and guidance to customers / end users regarding mobile equipment operation or troubleshooting.
Establishing and maintaining strong client relationships.
Adhere to company policies, quality standards and customer service protocols at all times.
Coordinating, compiling, and submitting the necessary paperwork and other procedures.
Attending to client call outs.
About You:
Mechanical trade, service maintenance, air-conditioning experience, or similar industry related skills preferred however not essential.
Troubleshooting and diagnostics ability.
Fit and energetic personnel required with a can-do attitude.
Ability to work alone and as part of a dynamic team.
