Key Responsibilities:
• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions for both US and Indian entities.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements for both regions.
• Assist with the annual budgeting process and monitor variances throughout the year.
• Maintain and reconcile bank accounts, cash, and other financial transactions for both US and Indian operations.
• Prepare and submit timely and accurate financial reports to management, ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable regulations in both countries.
• Coordinate and assist with the annual audit process, working closely with external auditors in the US and India.
• Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax returns, including US federal and state taxes, Indian GST, and other indirect taxes.
• Manage payroll processing for employees in India and other countries, including timely and accurate disbursement of salaries, reimbursements, and statutory deductions.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard the company's assets and ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial records in both regions.
• Provide financial analysis and support for decision-making, as required.
• Liaise with banks, tax authorities, and other financial institutions in both the US and India, as needed.
• Keep abreast of changes in financial regulations and best practices in both countries and ensure compliance with all statutory requirements.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role, handling finances for both US and Indian entities.
• In-depth knowledge of US GAAP, Indian accounting standards (Ind AS), and financial regulations in both countries.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, Zohobooks) and MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work output.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism
