In the Finance division, we act as a partner to business units around the globe by providing management, review, analysis and advisory services of the Firm’s financial and capital resources. This is an Associate level position within Corporate Controllers, Reporting & Accounting job family which is responsible for the accuracy and control of the Firm’s books and records to produce the consolidated firm, segment and legal entities financial statements, including development, management and oversight of financial accounting & reporting systems as well as database management, including capital and liquidity reporting and external reporting functions.

What you'll do in the role:
Collaborate with a varied group of colleagues in Finance and across the Firm.
Responsible for both individual and team deliverables and projects, leveraging knowledge of Finance functional area, tools and/or products.
Adhere to the Firm’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls.
Act as a culture carrier; embody the Firm's values and hold yourself accountable to Firm standards.
Prepare external reporting alongside commentary and supporting analysis.
Monitor progress against disclosure production timetables.
Respond to review questions raised on disclosures.
Present disclosures and analytics to members of Finance Senior Management.
Build an understanding of disclosure requirements and Morgan Stanley policies.
Maintain written procedures documents, ensuring key controls are in place.
Represent the organisation with external auditors Scope of Role.
What you'll bring to the role:
Working knowledge of Finance functional area, industry and competitive environment.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, and adapt to various audiences.
Willingness to seek guidance and provide feedback to further develop self and peers.
Hold or be studying towards a CA/ACA/ACCA qualification.
Experience of preparing financial reporting, particularly experience of reporting derivative products.
Experience working with large data sets and summarising trends or key messages.
Ability to challenge issues and processes, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving abilities.
Strong work ethic with an ability to take responsibility for completing tasks and working to deadlines.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office - Excel, Word and Powerpoint.
At least 2 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role
