Job description
Job Title: Kitchen Helper / Dishwasher
Location: Markham, ON

We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Helper/Dishwasher to join our team at our Markham kitchen. This role is essential in supporting kitchen operations and ensuring a clean, organized, and welcoming environment.

Morning shifts: Monday to Friday, starting at 5:00 a.m.
Weekend availability may be required during peak times.

Key Responsibilities:
• Wash cooking and baking equipment in a timely and efficient manner
• Stock supplies and maintain organized storage areas
• Ensure a clean, safe, and sanitary work environment
• Perform general housekeeping tasks as needed
• Follow health and safety regulations and company procedures

The Facility Maintenance Helper will assist in the facility maintenance of all UHaul Moving Centers Storage Centers and other UHaul facilities within a geographical area.

Primary responsibilities include:
• Effectively work with a variety of hand/ power tools.
• Perform general maintenance installation repair and service.
• Perform work requiring nailing sawing cutting painting and basic facility maintenance
• Perform cleanup duties at renovation sites.
• Complete work requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Assists skilled workers in the performance of all duties when necessary.
• Participate in ongoing continuous UHaul education through UHaul University.

Requirements:
• Valid drivers license and the ability to maintain a good driving record to operate commercial motor vehicles
• Adhere to all local state (provincial) and federal vehicular regulations while driving.

Education/Training:

High school diploma or equivalent

Work Environment:

The work involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions e.g. working around moving parts or machines fumes or irritant chemicals. May be required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks goggles gloves or shields.

Physical Demands:

The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods of standing walking recurring bending crouching stooping stretching reaching or similar activities and lifting a minimum of 50 lbs assisted or unassisted.
