Job Description
Overview We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Finance Lead with at least 5 years of professional experience to oversee financial operations, financial planning, and team management. This role is responsible for building financial models, forecasting P&L performance, ensuring financial compliance, and driving profitability through disciplined expense management. The Finance Lead will manage a small team and play a key role in communicating financial insights to leadership to support strategic decision-making.
Financial Planning & Analysis
Build and maintain financial models to forecast revenue, expenses, and overall P&L performance.
Analyze financial results and provide actionable insights to leadership.
Accounting, Compliance & Tax
Oversee preparation and filing of business tax returns in India.
Ensure financial records are accurate and compliant with applicable regulations.
Maintain proper documentation and financial reporting standards.
Payments & Payroll Oversight
Supervise the processing of company payments and payroll operations.
Ensure accurate and timely payment cycles while maintaining strong financial controls.
Improve processes related to financial operations and transaction management.
Manage and mentor a team of three finance professionals.
Set measurable performance targets and monitor progress.
Develop talent within the team through coaching and structured feedback.
Analyze existing financial processes and identify opportunities for automation or improvement.
Implement best practices to improve accuracy, efficiency, and financial visibility.
Translate financial data into clear insights for executives and cross-functional stakeholders.
Present forecasts, financial trends, and risk areas to leadership in a clear and concise manner.
Minimum 5+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or financial planning & analysis.
Strong financial modeling and forecasting skills , particularly P&L forecasting.
Experience managing or leading a small team.
Experience preparing and filing business tax returns in India .
Experience overseeing payments and payroll processes .
Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly to both team members and executives.
Proven ability to improve financial processes and drive operational efficiency.
