Job Description:
1. Accounting & Compliance
- Own the day-to-day accounting — from payables and receivables to bank reconciliations and GL entries.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements with precision.
- Keep us compliant with Indian Accounting Standards, US GAAP, and internal controls.
- Manage GST, TDS, income tax, and ROC filings with zero tolerance for errors.
2. Global Operations Support
- Support transfer pricing compliance and maintain related documentation.
- Manage cross-border payments, FEMA compliance, and coordination with banks.
- Assist with group account consolidation for global reporting.
3. Expense Management
- Keep our expense ecosystem squeaky clean — record, monitor, and reconcile company spends.
- Handle reimbursements and ensure all expenses comply with internal budgets and policies.
4. Statutory Compliance
- Stay on top of all Indian statutory requirements (TDS, GST, PF, PT, etc.).
- File returns and statutory reports on time — every time.
- Coordinate smoothly with external auditors and tax consultants.
5. Import & Export Transactions
- Manage Bill of Entry (BOE) and ORM mapping with precision.
- Ensure all import/export transactions meet compliance standards.
6. Purchase & Sales Orders
- Create and track POs and SOs — accuracy is your middle name.
- Work closely with procurement and sales teams to make sure everything runs like clockwork.
7. Audit & Reporting
- Support statutory and internal audits (including Big 4).
- Prepare MIS reports for management and maintain clear, audit-ready records for due diligence and fundraising activities.
Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Bonus points: Semi CA / MBA/ CMA qualification.
- Experience: 3–5 years in Accounting & Finance (including articleship). Startup experience is a huge plus.
Knowledge:
- Deep understanding of Indian accounting standards and statutory requirements (TDS, GST, PF, PT, etc.)
- Familiarity with US GAAP is a big advantage.
Skills:
- Hands-on with Zoho Books and MS Office Suite.
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and thorough.
- Strong communicator — can explain financials to non-financial folks with ease.
