Key Responsibilities
Lead Finance and Planning: Oversee finance services and support, aligned with strategic priorities.
System Upgrade Support: Provide financial expertise during a system upgrade, including forecasting, project costing, and reporting.
Engage with Leadership: Manage relationships with senior leadership to ensure effective communication on financial matters.
Enhance Financial Management: Uplift budget and financial management capabilities through advice, training, and business case support.
Reporting and Analysis: Prepare monthly management reports, providing insights and recommendations for senior committees.
Support Strategic Planning: Assist in developing the organisation's annual budget, mid-year reviews, and quarterly forecasts.
Key Requirements:
1. Experience & Qualifications
Relevant degree and/or post-graduate qualification in accounting or business management.
CPA, CA, or equivalent professional qualification.
Extensive experience in Finance Business Partnering, preferably in government.
Skills & Knowledge
Expertise in budget planning, financial forecasting, and business partnering.
Strong understanding of government accounting and legislation.
Knowledge of environmental regulation is a bonus.
Capabilities
Strong project management skills and the ability to lead multiple concurrent projects.
Proven ability to engage with senior leadership and build lasting relationships.
