Requirements
• Proven experience as a Financial Manager/controller in a reputed organization for not less than 10 years
• Experience in the commercial sector with previous possible roles such as financial analyst
• Extensive understanding of financial trends both within the company and general market patterns
• Proficient user of finance software such as Dynamics and SAP
• Able to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used
• A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles and local direct and indirect tax laws
• Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations
• BS/MA degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
• Professional qualifications such as CA/ACCA
• Negotiation skills.
Job Responsibilities
• Leading Accounting and Finance functions taking full responsibility for all statutory reporting and accounting, year-end audits and monthly management reporting.
• Verify the accuracy of vendor invoices against terms of payment and agreement and confirm the correctness of invoices.
• Providing financial reports and interpreting financial information to managerial staff while recommending further courses of action.
• Plan local tax and manage transfer pricing in accordance with local laws.
• Maintain the financial health of the organization.
• Analyze costs, pricing, and contributions from each deal and compare actual performance with the business plans/budget.
• Develop trends and projections for the company finances.
• Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities and improve performance.
• Oversee operations of the finance department, set goals and objectives, and design a framework for these to be met.
• Liaise with external auditors to ensure audited financial statements are issued timely
• Manage the company treasury function and mitigate currency exposure
• Evaluate business Risk and discuss with the management and take mitigation action
• Develop relevant policies and procedures for different processes, keeping in mind the simplicity of implementation and automation of activities.
• Ensures compliance with established SOPs and procedures and maintains effective internal controls within the business. Design and drive an effective internal control framework.
• Correspond with various other departments, discussing company plans and agreeing on future paths to be taken.
• Applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervising the activity of others and creating accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards
