The Finance Division reports to the Chief Financial Officer and consists of some 3,000 employees worldwide. Finance protects the Morgan Stanley franchise by serving as guardian of the Firm's books and records, and by contributing to firm wide risk management and risk reduction. This division maintains relationships with Morgan Stanley's various industry and government regulators and also serves as the conduit of financial information to the outside investment community. Finance plays a critical role as advisor to Morgan Stanley's various businesses and its senior management team. Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis is responsible for providing Senior Management with strategic analyses of the Firm's global businesses, the Firm?s annual budget, and other related financial information utilized in strategic decision-making. Role Description. As a member of the Mumbai team, you will be supporting the Operations Division. The team is responsible for supporting the Relationship Managers with the Operations division?s monthly Financial expense reporting, tracking of strategic deliverables, execution of the annual budget and quarterly Forecasts and assist in providing insightful analysis to drive senior management decisions. The role requires the individual to work closely with colleagues in the Global Relationship Manager function as well as the wider FP&A team and global Operations stakeholders. More specifically the successful candidate will: Partner directly with the Relationship Manager to: Provide Financial management, control, and analysis as required. Assist in execution of the Annual budget and quarterly forecasting processes Provide support within the hiring process for all resource types Produce monthly financial expense review/analysis reports and commentary. Track, update and provide reporting on risks and opportunities to Budget Ensure timely processing of Invoices and accruals Open and maintain Cost Centre structures for supported Operations Silos Contribute to Finance related projects, process enhancements, UAT testing etc. Escalate issues in a timely manner to management. Drive process consistency and opportunity across all managed processesQUALIFICATIONS Qualifications: Strong analytical skills, with proven ability to work under pressure Organizational skills - work with a vast array of information from solicitation to analysis and to cope with rapidly changing information Able to manage multiple tasks as well as multiple clients, ability to work independently and be highly organized Strong communication / interpersonal skills to be able to interact at all levels & be effective as part of a broader team of relationship managers Attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines. Excellent working knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
