Job Description
We are seeking a Supervisor Finance, Bulk who is detail oriented and has financial experience to work independently and collaboratively with the management team. The Supervisor Finance, Bulk role will be responsible to monitor, analyze, and compile financial reporting of the Bulk transportation and yard operations, working as a business partner with the Vice-President Bulk and reporting to Vice-President Finance and Administration.
Position Details:
This role will compile, review, and analyze operating financial performance indicators, transportation revenue, operating and asset costs, assisting with tender preparation, and ensuring financial reporting meets regulatory and Mullen reporting standards. As a business partner, the Supervisor will provide detailed financial analysis and assumptions working with the VP of Bulk in quoting new opportunities and projects, analyzing customer file reviews, and preparing operating and capital asset budgets. The Supervisor will collaborate with the Controller, other finance professionals and VP Finance & Administration to ensure financial reporting standards and initiatives are developed and maintained consistently within Kleysen Group.
This role will be located in our Winnipeg office with the hours of work Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with a 1-hour lunch (with some flexibility with the start/end time of the office hours.)
Ideally the successful candidate will have:
A post-secondary business degree or diploma in a relevant field (e.g. Accounting/Finance or Business Administration) and has or is nearly completed the CPA prerequisite courses
3+ years of experience in financial reporting and accounting
Strong working knowledge of transportation, bulk and yard operations is a definite asset
Analytical skills to assess financial performance and key indicators
Effective oral and written communication skills to convey and present information
Strong Excel spreadsheet skills to import, build models and depict trends
Strong computer skills in preparing & analyzing data using Microsoft Office Suite and ability to quickly learn the Truckmate software
