About the Role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Senior Financial Accountant will oversee elements of taxation, financial reporting, and compliance functions.
This is a pivotal role ensuring the firm meets all regulatory and financial obligations while driving process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the preparation and lodgment of tax obligations, including income tax, FBT, GST, and international tax matters.
Provide tax advisory support to partners and senior stakeholders on domestic and international tax matters.
Prepare half-yearly and annual statutory accounts and manage the firm's financial audits.
Evaluate new accounting standards and implement necessary changes.
Ensure trust compliance in accordance with Law Society legislation across multiple states.
Drive process improvements to enhance financial controls and tax compliance.
About You
CA/CPA qualified with strong technical expertise.
Experience in a legal, professional services, or complex corporate environment is highly desirable.
Leadership experience, with the potential to mentor and develop a team.
Candidates with a business services/tax background will be highly favoured.
