Job Title: Financial Accounting and Auditing (FAA) Specialist
Location: Mumbai
Job Type: Full-Time
Experience Level: 5-6 Years
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Accounting and Auditing (FAA) Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in internal auditing, financial analysis, and compliance. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can ensure the integrity of financial operations and adherence to regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive internal audits to assess the effectiveness of financial controls, risk management, and governance processes.
Develop and implement audit plans, including risk assessments and audit programs.
Evaluate financial statements and records for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Identify and report on areas of improvement and provide recommendations for enhancing internal controls.
Collaborate with management to develop action plans for addressing audit findings and monitor the implementation of corrective actions.
Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings to senior management and the audit committee.
Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in financial auditing.
Assist in the development and maintenance of internal audit policies and procedures.
Provide training and guidance to junior audit staff as needed.
Should be conversant in Stores Operations and Industrial Relation (IR) functions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and ICWAI/CMA. A professional certification such as CPA, CA, or CIA is preferred.
5-6 years of experience in financial accounting and auditing, with a focus on internal audit functions.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, auditing standards, and regulatory requirements.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Proficiency in using audit software and financial analysis tools.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
